On 9 April, Hushan expressway (Pingchao to Guangling section) expansion project service headquarters released news that Hushan expressway Pingchao Nantong to Guangling Taizhou section expansion project was started.

G40 Hushan expressway is in east-west direction in Jiangsu. The total length of the project is about 48.9 km. The old road will be expanded to two-way eight-lane expressway. The design vehicle speed is 120 km/h. There will be 7 interchanges and 1 additional service area (Shizhuang service area).
