Tongzhou Erjia as

recommended site

of Nantong new airport

On 30 September, as learnt from Nantong new airport (hub) construction headquarters, Civil Aviation Administration of China approved Tongzhou Erjia site as the recommended site of Nantong new airport.

Since proposal of Nantong new airport, it has been a heated topic of the Yangtze River delta. The construction cooperative agreement signed by Jiangsu government and Shanghai government specified that Nantong new airport, together with Pudong airport and Hongqiao airport will form Shanghai multiple airport system main hub, and will be planned, built, operated and managed together with Pudong airport and Hongqiao airport.
