On 29 October the reporter learnt from municipal transport bureau that in 2021 Zhanggao cross river passageway will be started, which will break the world record of largest span bridge.

Zhanggao passageway from Rugao to Zhangjiagang is located between Husutong Bridge and Jiangyin Bridge. After the bridge is built, it will create six world records: the largest span bridge in the world, the largest span cable stayed bridge, the highest steel and concrete composite structure cable support tower, the longest main cable, the largest anchorage foundation, the longest suspension cable.
