2020 China Nantong Jianghai International Expo open

On 21 November, 2020 China Nantong Jianghai International Expo and Nantong shipbuilding and marine engineering industrial exhibition was open at Nantong International Conference Center. Secretary of CPC Nantong Committee and director of the standing Committee of municipal National People’s Congress Xu Huimin said in the speech that innovation shall be used as driving power, a batch of key technology shall be applied, a batch of symbolic products shall be produced, a batch of world-class companies shall be cultivated to promote shipbuilding and marine engineering and supporting device autonomous, and branding, build world class shipbuilding and marine engineering advanced manufacture industry cluster, and become a model of serving the state in new development plan building. Deputy Secretary of CPC Nantong Committee and Mayor Wang Hui hosted the opening ceremony.

Nantong is national shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment new industrialized industry demonstration base, national shipbuilding advanced and latest technology industrial base, national ship export base. Shipbuilding and marine engineering industry is shortlisted in national advanced manufacture industry cluster. Shipbuilding, and marine engineering equipment industry scale take up one tenth and one fourth of that of the state. Jiangsu focuses on 13 advanced manufacture industry clusters, confirmed that marine engineering equipment and advanced technological shipbuilding industry are led by Nantong. In the first three quarters of the year, shipbuilding and marine engineering industry of Nantong increased 7.3% under the impact of the epidemic.
