The reporter learnt from Nantong market regulation bureau that 2020 Nantong mayor’s quality award and mayor’s quality nomination award lists were revealed. Four companies including Sifang Science and Technology Group won mayor’s quality award. One company won mayor’s quality award nomination award. Three individuals won mayor’s quality award and mayor’s quality nomination award. It is the first time mayor’s quality award was awarded to individuals in Nantong.

The individual awards were set up for the first time in 2020. ‘Mayor’s quality award’ was awarded to board chairman of Jiangsu Jinghai poultry group Co., Ltd. Gu Yunfei, ‘mayor’s quality award nomination awards’ were awarded to president and chief quality officer of China Tianying Inc. Cao Debiao and general management associate and chief quality officer of Jiangsu Zhongtian group Xu Yaqin.

Nantong mayor’s quality award was established in 2009. It is the highest honor of quality management set up by Nantong government. It is classified into two types: ‘organization’ and ‘individual’. It is awarded to organizations and individuals with outstanding performance management, obvious economic and social benefits, and those who have made great contributions to quality development of Nantong. Since it was established, the awards have been given to 38 companies and 1 individual.
