On 4 May, via Jiangsu, Anhui and Hubei provinces, after 4 days and 620 kilometers ride, 7 cyclists of Qidong cycling association reached the destination – the campus of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan finally. On the day, secretary of CPC Committee of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering Shao Xinyu met Nantong cyclists and praised their Wuhan trip.
Huazhong University of Science and Technology was chosen as the destination, because one of the cyclists is one alumni of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology put a lot of effort in epidemic control. It is the university which provided most beds and medical workers in China.
According to general secretary of Qidong cycling association Ji Changchun, they woke up at 6 am in these days, set off after a brief preparation, cycled more than 10 hours, about 150 to 170 kilometers per day. Except having meals, they rested in other time. ‘In our trip, we saw the trail of journey, and was rewarded with journey of our hearts. We are proud of Wuhan and proud of China.’
