Among the 63 projects which will be implemented recently in the planning, ‘Nantong elements’ accounted for about 10%

few days ago, in order to build the Yangtze River delta on the rail together, National Development and Reform Commission published multiple level rail transit planning of Yangtze River delta area ( in short form the planning), after it was approved by Yangtze River delta integrated development promotion leading group. On 21 June, the reporter learnt from municipal development and reform commission that in the early stage Nantong has been negotiating and communicating with superiors actively, to introduce more ‘Nantong elements’ to the planning. There are in total 63 projects which will be implemented soon in the planning. Among them, projects which are related to our city take up about 10%.

In the present, 6 railways which are related to Nantong such as high speed railway along the Yangtze River Hefei-Nanjing-Shanghai section (north high speed railway along the Yangtze River), Nantong-Suzhou-Ningbo railway (including the extension in Rugao), Rudong-Nantong-Suzhou-Huzhou intercity railway (Rutongsuhu intercity railway), Xinyi-Changxing Railway capacity expansion and alteration, Nantong west railway station - Haimen- new airport line (Jianghai express), Nantong east railway station - new airport - Tongzhou bay (airport express) are listed in projects which will be carried out soon in the planning. Nantong new airport station is listed as type II hub, and Nantong station is listed as type III hub. Huchongqi railway is recognized as long term planning research project in national level for the first time.
