2021 ‘Amazing China - the most attractive Chinese cities for foreigners’ theme event held by Ministry of Science and Technology was started. On 29 April, the reporter learnt from Nantong bureau of science and technology that Nantong became one of the 41 candidates.

‘Amazing China - the most attractive Chinese cities for foreigners’ theme event is held once every year. Since 2010, it has been held successfully for continuous 11 years. It is the only talent attraction ‘Chinese cities list’ evaluated and selected by foreigners. It works on exhibiting the talent attraction conditions of Chinese cities, and discovering the value judgement of foreign talents employment and business in China.

The event was carried out following 5 major standards which are ‘policy environment’, ‘administrative environment’, ‘work environment’, ‘living condition’, ‘technological innovation environment’ and 23 indices.

Since 2021, Nantong has improved the innovation environment for technological talents by a series of measures including launching municipal overseas talents recruitment special subsidy, and foreign talents attraction convenience measures, improved the attraction of high end innovation and entrepreneurship foreign experts. The structure of foreign talents working in Nantong has been optimized constantly.
