A few days ago, Danish offshore wind power operation company Cadeler announced that they signed a F grade wind turbine foundation installation ship building project with COSCO shipping heavy industries. The ship will be built in Qidong COSCO shipping and marine engineering. The cost of the first ship reached 345 million U.S. dollars (about 2.317 billion Yuan). It is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025.
F grade wind turbine foundation installation ship has a deck area of 5600 square meters. The payload is over 17600 tons. It can transport and install 7 complete sets of 15 MW turbine equipment at one time, or 5 over 20 MW turbine units. The fixed number of passengers is 200. In every return trip, it can transport at most 6 XL single piles (each weighs 2300-2600 tons).
