On 8th October, the 1st ‘SCANIA school-enterprise cooperative order class’ composed of 62 students was started at Rugao Secondary Specialized School. It was the first school-enterprise cooperative order class of SCANIA in Asia.

SCANIA is one of the most famous heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers in the world. In May 2020, SCANIA’s China manufacturing plant settled in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Area in the form of sole proprietorship. In July 2022, SCANIA and Rugao Secondary Specialized School signed a school-enterprise cooperation frame agreement.

The 62 students of the 1st SCANIA school-enterprise cooperative order class were selected from Rugao Secondary Specialized School, and have gone through several steps including briefing, interview, and the school’s evaluation and recommendation.

Ruthger, CEO of SCANIA Asia said that next year the first batch of the students of the SCANIA class would graduate here, and they would become the first batch of professional blue-collar workers of SCANIA in Asia.
