The reporter learnt from Nantong Hao River Scenic Spot Management Office that Hao Rive Scenic Spot was included among the first batch of top ten most popular tourist attractions of Jiangsu scenic areas.

The ten tourist attractions are Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Yuantouzhu, Slender West Lake Park, Mount Huaguoshan, Tiger Hill, Hao River, Yunlong Lake, Zhan Garden and the three palaces of Maoshan Mountain.

Hao River is the most complete retained ancient moat located in the central area of the city in China. Nearby many cultural historical relics from Tang Dynasty to modern times have been kept, including several ‘the first in China’ which are the first public museum founded by Mr. Zhang Jian, a sage in Nantong —— Nantong Museum, the first embroidery school in China —— the Women Workers’ Training Institute ( Shen Shou Embroidery Art Museum of China), the first new drama school in China —— Linggong Society, the first batch of the city parks in China —— the Five Parks, and rich intangible cultural heritage. The tourist attraction receives close to 7 million tourists per year. It is an open and round-the-city National AAAAA Tourist Attraction and provincial level tourist attraction which integrates natural scenery and cultural landscape.
