Shi Yuqi won the championship in the men’s singles of the All England Open Badminton Championships

At about 23:20 on 16th March, Nantong badminton player Shi Yuqi defeated Li Jiahao, a player from Taipei, China, with a score of 2:0 in the men’s singles final of the 2025 All England Open Badminton Championships, and became the champion of the ‘century-old’ store in international badminton.

All England Open Badminton Championships was established in 1899. It is the oldest international badminton event in the world. It has the reputation of ‘a century-old store’. Its influence ranks first among international open tournaments. It is currently one of the four Super 1000 tournaments recognized by the Badminton World Federation.

It was Shi Yuqi’s seventh time to compete in the All England Open. In the previous 6 times, he won 1 championship, two runner-ups, 1 semi-final and two quarter-finals.
