On 3rd April, a ‘fantasy journey’ at doorstep started at a VR immersive cinema on level 2 of Hai'an Xiruncheng Commercial Complex. It is an innovative cultural tourism project developed by Hai’an.

Hai’an VR immersive cinema is Nantong’s first large-scale VR theme cinema. With advanced VR technology, the cinema has broken the spatial limitations of traditional cinemas and introduced the audience to a realistic virtual world. The audience can enter the cinema, choose the films they like, receive the PICO glasses from the workers, and then immerse themselves in the scenes in the movie, ‘travel’ in the movie, like travelling through time and space to explore history, exploring outer space to experience the charm of science fiction, or experiencing adventures in a fantasy world.

Wang Min, a citizen who walked out of the cinema, said, ‘I watched a film about dinosaurs. I felt the dinosaurs passing by me, and I can also interact with them. This experience is different from traditional cinemas.’
