‘We will transfer a patient with a sudden acute illness from offshore to the hospital. Please prepare to receive.’ On the afternoon of 7th June, Nantong First People’s Hospital suddenly received an instruction that China Southern Airlines General Aviation Limited will transfer a patient with an acute illness from offshore to the hospital using a helicopter.

At 5:50 pm, in the roar of the propellers, the rescue helicopter slowly landed on the helipad on the rooftop of the hospital. The medical workers immediately rushed to the helicopter with a stretcher, and moved the patient from the helicopter to the stretcher. In less than 3 minutes, the patient arrived at the Emergency Department.

After a series of check ups, the doctor diagnosed the patient with acute angina pectoris, with a history of hypertension and diabetes. The Cardiology Department of the hospital immediately admitted the patient, and carried out follow-up check ups. After coronary angiography, it was confirmed that the patient had heart vessel obstruction. The doctor immediately performed a surgery on him. After the implantation of two stents, the patient’s symptoms such as chest tightness and chest pain were significantly relieved, and his vital signs also stabilized.
