On 9th July, Nantong Forest Safari Park received a call from Ms. Huang, an annual card user. Ms. Huang said that her 2-year-old daughter fell ill and needed long-term treatment, and the treatment was quite expensive. She hoped that the zoo could refund the annual card fee to alleviate urgent needs.
Ms. Huang said that every time her child went to the zoo, she was very happy. They did not expect that she would fall ill suddenly. Now every cent must be spent on treatment.
In April this year, Ms. Huang applied for an annual pass of the zoo. Her child especially likes red pandas. In just two months, they went to the zoo 5 times. However, the sudden illness in mid-June put the whole family in a difficult situation.
After receiving the call, Nantong Forest Safari Park quickly processed the refund for Ms. Huang, and retained the annual card benefits. They sincerely invited the girl and her family to come again after she recovers. They also donated 50,000 yuan to the girl. Moreover, the workers of the zoo retrieved all the coins from the wishing pool and counted them from daytime until late at night. After more than 20 hours of continuous counting, a total of 12,083 yuan was collected.
On 11th July, representatives of the zoo delivered 62,083 yuan in donations and a red panda doll to Ms. Huang's home, and made a promise to the child, ‘once you recover, we will go to the zoo to see real red pandas.’
