On 28 December 2019, the 1st 2500 KJ (kilojoule) large hydraulic pile driving hammer new product release conference was held in Beijing. It is the 1st largest dual use hydraulic pile driving hammer researched and developed in China. It is researched and manufactured by Jiangsu Longyuan Zhenhua Marine Engineering Co., Ltd and Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology together.
Hydraulic pile driving hammer is a construction facility using hydraulic fluid to transfer power and drive the hammer to do piling work. It is important in projects such as offshore wind power plant and offshore oil and gas production.
Recently there are many offshore wind power plant projects, which stimulate the demand for pile driving hammer, offshore transport ship and other marine engineering facilities. Waiting for hammer is common in wind power generator installation. ‘When supply cannot meet demand, price of product from foreign pile driving hammer manufacture companies is increased from 50 to 60 million Yuan to more than 80 million Yuan.’ general manger of Jiangsu Longyuan Zhenhua Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. Li Ze said. The successful development and manufacture of the hydraulic pile driving hammer will break the monopoly of large hydraulic pile driving hammer of foreign companies, lower construction cost and play an important role in promotion of single pipe piles in wind power industry.
In June 2010, while the state was promoting offshore wind power development, Jiangsu Longyuan Zhenhua Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. was founded in Nantong. Its major business includes offshore wind power infrastructure construction, equipment installation and maintenance. ‘We will use the opportunity to establish manufacture and assurance abilities of offshore large hydraulic pile driving hammer, and provide supports for the Belt and Road proposal and Marine potestatem strategy.’ Li Ze said.
