On 25 December 2019, Hao River circle museum group union was established officially. Hao River circle museum group general improving plan was published.

In the present there are more than 50 museums of various types in Nantong. 14 of them are by Hao River, and they form a Hao River circle museum group.

In 2019, the museum group received 1.5 million visitors, 500 thousand more than that of 2018. To promote the alteration and improvement project of Nantong Museum, south hall, middle hall, north hall and east hall exhibitions will be restored to what was like in Zhang Jian’s ages, to build a historical zone in the museum and a pilgrimage of Chinese museums. At the same time, using Zhang Jian’s former house Hao Nan villa as the center, Zhang Jian’s achievements will be exhibited, a Zhang Jian achievement memorial and exhibition will be built. And the old library area will be changed, Jianghai cultural folk customs museums and Hao river circle museum group digital museum will be built.
