On 23 January, macroeconomic performance and people’s livelihood index data published by Nantong bureau of statistics and National bureau of statistics Nantong investigation team together showed that in 2019 the gross regional product of Nantong was 938.35 billion Yuan, there was a 6.2% increase from the year before last.

Person in charge of Nantong bureau of statistics introduced that last year people’s livelihood protection was enhanced, expenditure on education increased 16.2%, expenditure on culture, tourism, sports and media increased 98.7%, expenditure on health increased 7.5%, expenditure on urban and rural community affairs increased 10%; people’s ‘wallets’ were more full, the average per capita disposable income reached 40320 Yuan, there was an 8.8% increase from the year before last.
