On 19 February, the reporter learnt from Nantong development and reform commission that 2020 Jiangsu major projects list investment plan was published a few days ago, and there are in total 41 projects related to Nantong. Nantong new airport project which attracted a lot of attention from citizens is listed in reserve projects. North riverside high speed railway is listed in implementation projects.

‘Nantong new airport’ project, as an important part of Shanghai international air hub, is listed in major infrastructure reserve projects. According to planning, Nantong new airport will form ‘an airport on the rail’ together with north riverside high speed railway, and fast access to areas near Shanghai will be realized. In order to promote its implementation, Nantong established new airport (hub) construction headquarters with high standard and is working on preliminary work. North riverside high speed railway as ‘an implementation project ’is also written in 2020 Jiangsu major projects list. The project involves Nanjing, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong and Suzhou.
