Recently Jiangsu government approved Nantong Tonghai port Co., Ltd. phase 1 port’s opening. It is the 2nd approved port in Jiangsu.

Nantong Tonghai port Co., Ltd. is founded by COSCO shipping ports (Nantong) limited and port of Nantong Co., Ltd together. COSCO holds 51% of the shares while Nantong port holds 49%. In the 1st quarter, Tonghai Port Company’s container throughput is 287.6 thousand TEU (standard container).

Nantong Tonghai port Co., Ltd. container berth is located at 2 km from Su Tong Yangtze River Highway Bridge in the downstream, close to the 12.5 deep channel of Yangtze River Bridge. There are 3 seventy thousand ton berths in phase 1 project. The phase 1 port’s opening was approved, and it will improve Nantong port’s status in container transport in the Yangtze River area.
