At about 8:10 am on 27 November, G55702 bullet train set off from Nantong station to Yancheng, along Yancheng-Nantong high speed railway. It was a sign that Yancheng-Nantong high speed railway has entered trial operation stage officially. It was planned to be open by the end of December.

Yancheng-Nantong high speed railway is the first high speed railway with 350 km per hour speed along full length in north Jiangsu area. It starts from Yancheng station of Xuzhou-Yancheng High-speed Railway in the north, goes south to Nantong West Railway Station of Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway. There are stations such as Yancheng, Yancheng Dafeng, Dongtai, Hai'an, Rugao south and Nantong west stations. After Yancheng-Nantong High-speed Railway is open, it will take only 5 hours from Nantong to Beijing.
