On 18 December morning, financial and business center and enterprise headquarters center of Nantong Central Innovation District foundations were laid officially. 7 projects whose total investment is 3.95 billion Yuan were started together.

On the 10th plenary session of the 12th CPC Nantong Committee conference held at the start of the year, the target of ‘one large, three small and four centers’ of Nantong Central Innovation District was confirmed. Revolved around building the new center of the city, Nantong Central Innovation District is working hard on driving the building of technological innovation center, financial and business center, and enterprise headquarters center, to accelerate the progress of Yangtze River delta regional model city building. In the past year, a batch of major projects were promoted, regional functional supports were improved, schools including Zilang No.1 Primary School of Nantong, experimental school affiliated to Nantong Middle School, and Nine year system school were open with high quality, two high standard grade 3A hospitals building were in progress, commercial landmark Golden Eagle World project was started, grand theatre and art gallery will be completed, Zilang lake shadow water show music fountain attracted a lot of people.

Financial and business center is located by Zilang Lake. The planning area is about 140 acres. Nantong headquarters of financial institutions such as banks, securities companies, insurance companies, and fund management companies will there. The enterprise headquarters center is located near Zilang Wetland. The planning area is 350 acres. It will focus on large enterprise functional headquarters and regional headquarters, transnational corporation functional headquarters and unicorn companies, build headquarters economic cluster area. The planned total investment of the startup area is 1.05 billion Yuan. Two portal landmark buildings which are Yide Building and Innovation Building will be built.
