n 31 July morning, the reporter interviewed Nantong famous painter Fan Yang who recorded the image of champions with brushes.
After Chinese player won the first gold medal, a traditional Chinese painting called ultimate battle - the final moment of Tokyo Olympic Games women’s 10 m air rifle recorded the ‘00s’ shooter which excited Chinese people and the first gold medal in the first time.
‘As a traditional Chinese painter, it’s my responsibility to record the moments of every Chinese player winning the championships, and tell the story of China with Chinese paintings.’ Fan Yang said. ‘As a local Nantong resident, while I was studying at second primary school affiliated to Nantong normal school, I was good at front and back flip, handstand, kip up ... in the university, i was also passionate in sports such as volleyball and football.’
Due to his passion in sports clinging in his heart, from hurdle ‘flying person’ Liu Xiang to Zhang Hong who was the champion of speed skating of 2014 winter Olympic Games, and Bolt... Fan Yang used traditional Chinese paintings to record the wonderful moments in Olympic Games.
As the general art consultant of ‘Cheer For The Olympics’, Fan Yang used his brushes to respond the call of ‘cooperation and progress together’ of International Olympic Committee.
