At 10:18 pm 22 August, China General Nuclear Power Group Rudong H8 offshore wind power project 220 kV offshore booster station hoisting was completed at Rudong Huangshayang sea area. At that point, 11 offshore wind power project offshore booster station projects of over 60 billion Yuan investment and 3.3 million kilowatts total installed capacity along the sea in Rudong have been completed.

Offshore booster station is power collection center of offshore wind farm. As the key infrastructure of power transmission and distribution of offshore wind farm, once there is a breakdown on offshore booster station, the wind turbines of one loop may stop operation, in the most severe case, the whole wind farm will be shut down. As its characters and importance, offshore booster station is often compared to the ‘heart’ of the wind farm.
