On 28 September, the 13th CPC Nantong Committee held the first plenary session, and the new leading group of CPC Nantong Committee was elected.

Secret ballot was applied on the conference. 11 standing committee members were elected in the margin election. They are Wang Hui, Wu Xinming, Shen Lei, Wang Xiaohong, Lu Weidong, Feng Chunqing, Jiang Dong, Zhou Jianxin, Wang Hongtao, Wang Xiaobin, and Zhang Jianhua. On the conference, Wang Hui was elected as secretary of CPC Nantong Committee, Wu Xinming and Shen Lei were elected as deputy secretary of CPC Nantong Committee.
