On 17 October, the 12th Nantong Games and the 3rd national fitness games was open at the track field of Nantong sports school.

Nantong is famous ‘hometown of sports’ in the state. Since the economic reform and open up, there has been 29 world champions in Nantong. The Nantong Games which is held every 4 years, is the integrated sports game of highest level, largest scale, most events and highest standard in Nantong. There are in total 37 competition events in the sports meeting, among them the number of national fitness events reached 24. The events have been held one after another since May. During the opening and closing ceremony there will be multiple events.
