French boy could not forget Hai’an girl after first encounter
‘Everything is under best arrangement!’ on 23 March afternoon, 36-year-old Wang Yu said to the reporter with a smile, carrying her cute and lovely ‘second baby’ Leo.
‘In 2003 I was admitted to China University of Geosciences in Wuhan. In 2007, after graduated, I went to Shanghai, worked on automobile parts trade in a global well-known American company. In 2011, my sister who worked and stayed in America before introduced me to study in France. I was learning French in Université d'Angers and catholic university in the 16th large city in France Angers, and I met my husband Vivien.’ frank Wang Yu spoke straight forwardly.
After class, Wang Yu liked to purchase books in a second hand bookstore in Angers. ‘Please step aside, you are on my way!’ that day, when Wang Yu left the bookstore, a handsome man who was picking books half squat stopped in front of her. ‘Oh, I am sorry!’ the man apologized and stood up. When the two people saw each other, for no reason, it seemed that there was telepathy which made the young people from two different countries attracted by each other instantly.
The man whose name is Vivien, invited Wang Yu to drink coffee. Wang Yu, became unforgettable for Vivien after first encounter.
Choose someone, choose to solve everything with love
‘After dating for one year, Vivien proposed to me officially with flowers and a ring.’ after registered in France, Wang Yu brought her French husband to Hai’an, and held a Chinese wedding.
For transnational marriage, some people’s greatest feeling is: cultural difference and habits is a gap really difficult to cross!
‘When we just got married, I prepared lunch two times,’ Wang Yu said to the reporter with a smile, ‘for Vivien, meat is a must in every meal, steak is common, with some bread and salad. But I can not accept that. I want to have rice, and a combination of soup, vegetables and meat! Because of this, I always prepared Chinese food after Western food, to satisfy the different needs of us.’
As time goes by, after seven years in marriage, Vivien was ‘assimilated’ by Wang Yu unconsciously.
‘As the difference in habits, Vivien did not eat a lot of vegetables in the past,’ Wang Yu told the reporter, ‘I brought him to my old home in Baidian, Hai’an often, let him learn plant vegetables from my mom, and tried different types of vegetables. Gradually there is nothing that he can not accept!’
Hope to serve delicate French cuisine in Nantong
One year ago, more and more Hai’an residents noticed that a French dessert shop with authentic taste and unique flavor appeared on one side of Huang Hai avenue in downtown area of Hai’an.
‘Opening the shop, we want to introduce authentic French dessert to local residents, by Vivien’s original skills,’ Wang Yu said, ‘the sales mostly come from orders of fans in wechat circles. It’s basically ‘a private order’.’
In leisure time, Vivien will drive to fishing place introduced by friends with his family, for fishing, or meals with friends and their family members.
‘In the future, we plan to open a French restaurant in Nantong. Vivien is also planning to work as a teacher in cooking school in Nantong, to serve authentic French cuisine to Nantong residents!’ at the moment of leaving, Wang Yu talked about their latest plan.
