On 6 June, Jiangsu Masada — Mitsubishi Heavy Industries rotary vane steering gear project signing ceremony was held in Gangzha Economic Development Zone. At the same time, Jiangsu Masada phase 3 project laid foundation in the plant area. Phase 3 project was started officially.

In 2012, Jiangsu Masada and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries signed production permit of ship steering gear. Masada introduced advanced design and manufacturing technology, manufacturing management system and after-sale service system of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. After 10 years of friendly cooperation, in 2022, the annual production was 119. In 2023 the production is expected to exceed 200. Jiangsu Masada has become a major steering gear manufacturing enterprise in China and even in the world.

The rotary vane steering gear signed this time has small size and is easy to install. It is a common type of steering gear in small and medium ships and special ships. The product was researched and developed by Mitsubishi. It authorized Jiangsu Masada to produce.
