A few days ago, Jiangsu Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development published 2022 ‘Yangtze Cup’ award list. 33 Nantong projects were shortlisted. Wushan area ecological restoration project won Urban Renewal Special Award.

Jiangsu high quality project award ‘Yangtze Cup’ is the highest honor of provincial construction project quality. It represents the highest level of current project construction quality in Jiangsu. This year in total 486 projects were elected. The selection scope of ‘Yangtze Cup’ includes all engineering projects such as building, transport, water conservancy, electricity, communication, municipal administration, landscape garden, urban rail transit, renovation, installation and steel structure projects which have been completed, passed acceptance evaluation, and were delivered for operation for more than one year in administrative region of Jiangsu. This year intelligent manufacturing and urban renewal special awards were added. Wushan area ecological restoration project of Nantong is one of the 7 projects which won urban renewal awards in Jiangsu.

Wushan area ecological restoration project promoted retreat of industries, relocation of harbours, going forward of cities, ecological restoration of riverside area industries, which enhanced water and soil conservation and water source protection along the bank of the Yangtze River, realized the change from ‘close to the Yangtze River’ to ‘riverside’, and from ‘back alley’ to ‘green lungs’ of the city.
