On 7th December, 2023 Nantong Clothing Innovation and Development Conference opened.

In 2022, the ‘high-end textile cluster’ jointly built by Nantong, Suzhou and Wuxi was recognized as a national advanced manufacturing industry cluster. In the first 10 months of the year, 1463 above scale textile enterprises of Nantong have realized an output value of 169.3 billion yuan, and there is an increase of 18.4%. As an important panel of textile industry, clothing industry plays an essential role in the high-quality economic and social development of the city.

The output value and export of clothing industry of Nantong has ranked among the top 3 in Jiangsu in a long term; 12 enterprises are among the top 50 enterprises in Jiangsu clothing industry; in 2022, the above scale enterprises in Nantong clothing industry realized an operation revenue of over 20 billion yuan, ranking the 3rd in Jiangsu.
