On 4th January, Nantong held New Industrialization Promotion Conference. Wu Xinming, Secretary of CPC Nantong Committee, emphasized that the way to new type of industrialization shall be taken, and the building of a strong manufacturing city shall be accelerated, to strive to build a famous modern industrial city in China.

Wu Xinming emphasized that with high-end oriented, intelligence and greening as the major focuses, the building of ‘616’ modern industrial system with 6 major industrial clusters and 16 advantageous industrial chains shall be accelerated; in 5 years’ time, the total size of 6 major industrial clusters shall be doubled, and reach about 2 trillion yuan, the increase of manufacturing industry shall take more than 40% of GDP, and advanced industrial foundation and modern industrial chain shall be realized basically; in 2035, a modern industrial system with international competence will be pretty much formed.
