On 29th April, a small white Pomeranian successfully passed the document verification and clinical examination of Nantong Customs, successfully obtained the Animal Health Certificate, and will soon go abroad with its owner.

The owner of the Pomeranian is a Filipino practitioner in Nantong. He submitted the application online through ‘Outbound Pet Quarantine’ module of the General Administration of Customs, and made an appointment for on-site quarantine. Nantong Customs staff efficiently completed all quarantine and certification procedures. The owner of the Pomeranian said, ‘I have worked in Nantong for 8 years. Every year I go home for vacation. The new system is very convenient. Nantong Customs provided efficient and professional service, which helped me complete the entire process smoothly. I am very grateful!’

The General Administration of Customs started to promote ‘Outbound Pet Quarantine’ function module nationwide on 10th April 2025. The function module was designed to meet the quarantine requirements for individuals and corporate users taking pets out of the country. Through ‘internet+Customs’ or a single window, the entire process can be done online. People can fill in the information of the applicant and the pet online, and submit relevant documents to complete the quarantine application. You can also check the progress of the application in real time.
