On 18 December 2021, Jianghai Avenue east extension flyover was open to traffic officially. Travelling from Nantong central area to Tongzhou on flyover was realized. The travel time between the two places was reduced to within 20 minutes.

Jianghai Avenue east extension project is an important project connecting central area to Tongzhou. The project starts from Zongyi group in the west, ends at Tongzhou Yangzijiang road in the east. The total length is 10.6 km. It was built with ‘continuous flyover and ground auxiliary road. It was started officially on 29 December 2020.
