On 29 June morning, the first ‘transport+lifting’ integrated deep and open sea wind power construction ship in China ‘Wu Dong De’ invested by China Three Gorges Corporation and manufactured at China merchants industry Haimen base was delivered officially in Haimen.

Shipbuilding and marine engineering are the urban name card and industrial landmark of Nantong. The shipbuilding and marine engineering manufacture scale account for one tenth and one fourth of that of the state. National advanced manufacture industry cluster is in progress now. After ‘Wu Dong De’ delivered in Nantong is operated, it will be the ship with best loading capacity and largest deck area among same type and level of construction ships in China. The maximum lifting capacity will reach 3000 tons. It has abilities to build multiple types of foundations for single capacity of over 10 megawatts and large offshore wind turbines.

It is worth mentioning is that the air conditioning system applied on the ship is provided by famous enterprise in China Zhuhai Gree Group. It is also the first time that air conditioning system manufactured in China is applied in civil high end marine engineering equipment.
