Hitachi Metals San Huan Magnetics (Nantong) Co., Ltd. is located at Zhongtai road, Qidong high tech zone. It was founded by Hitachi Metals Ltd. and Beijing Zhongke Sanhuan Hi-tech Co., Ltd. together in September 2016.

Hitachi metals, established in 1959, is the largest neodymium, iron and boron magnets manufacturer in the world.

Magnet is common in daily life, while neodymium magnet is a kind of magnet made from neodymium in tombarthite, iron and boron with high output function. General Manager of the company Kobayashi Hiroyuki said that the magnet is the strongest magnet in the world, can attract metal of more than 640 times of its self-weight. In the present, neodymium, iron and boron magnet is widely used in low carbon fields such as new energy vehicles and energy saving appliances.

Magnets produced by the company are used in Japanese companies in China, such as electric motors of Daikin Air-conditioning technology. In 2019, the output reached 150 tons and the sales were about 74 million Yuan.

As demand is more than supply, Hitachi Metals San Huan magnetics (Nantong) Co., Ltd. will expand production this year, add 50 million Yuan manufacture equipment. ‘In 2024, the investment will be more than 15 times the number now.’ Kobayashi Hiroyuki said.
